The Story

TheĀ Raspberry Pi TV HAT allows you to receive digital terrestrialĀ TVĀ broadcast systems which includes DVB-T and DVB-T2 on a Raspberry Pi.

With the board you can receive and viewĀ TVĀ on a Raspberry Pi or create aĀ TVĀ server that allows you to stream receivedĀ TVĀ over a network to other devices. TheĀ TV HAT can be used on all Raspberry Pi boards when running as a backend (server for other devices on the network). Performance when receiving and viewingĀ TVĀ on a Pi can vary and it is recommended to use a Raspberry Pi 2, 3 or 3+ to do this.

The board comes with a set of mechanical spacers, a 40 way header and an Aerial adaptor.

Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) is a widely adopted standard for transmitting broadcast Television, countries that have adopted the DVB standard can be found here;Ā
